One day I came over Alex and Ben Goretsky house; during our conversation, I mentioned that I am going to shoot a digital video as a project for one of my classes at school. At that moment, I had no idea what kind of video I was going
to create. Five minutes later Alex said that he wants to have a short commercial for his company. I was running out of time with my project plus I liked an idea of what they wanted me to create; I said "yes".
One week later, I met Ben; he gave me a script and we took the pre-shots for the storyboard. Next day, I went to my friend's father Watch Repair Shop and asked him to let me take couple camera shots for my storyboard.
For the storyboard, I had to use fifty percent of my original cast and another fifty percent, people who were available that day. After I had the script and all the pre-shots were done, I began to use Adobe Photoshop to create "white screens". About one week later, I finally shot the original scenes.
I spent two weeks working with Adobe Premiere to edit my video. I worked on "Merchantia" during my spare time because the rest of my time I was working with Macromedia Flash and Macromedia Director on my website.
April 20, 2002 "Merchantia" was ready to be uploaded.
